About me...

A lifelong educator, I am passionate about helping every student find their place for success within a school. With a wealth of experience across a broad range of schools and students, I have consistently provided leadership in supporting all stakeholders, regardless of the unique environment. I look forward to the opportunity to grow and learn as the world of education continues to evolve. My professional growth only helps me to best support our students, families, and staff in finding success.

Beyond the classroom, I am a proud husband, dog dad, and uncle of many nieces and nephews. I grew up in New Mexico and will forever love the desert, but my wife has helped me to grow an appreciation for having my toes in the sand on a beach as well. I have always loved reading, live music, and travel, but have also learned the importance of downtime in the self-care routine. I coached baseball and soccer when I taught and still find an evening at the ballpark to be one of my favorite activities. If you see us out and about, there's a good chance our German Shepherd, Zion, is not far behind, come up and say hi! 

Leadership Focus

Leaders should empower everyone under their care to do two things: 1) feel confident to do their job, and 2) believe that they have the ability to take ownership of their job in the best interest of the greater good. ​Strong leaders are confident in their decision-making and welcome input from all stakeholders as they work through the decision-making process. Leaders are empowered with making tough decisions, but they should always be informed decisions.

My Goal

My goal as a leader is to promote the well-being and growth of those around me. The best leaders develop people and structures that support the success of their work even in their absence. One of my first goals as the next principal of North Central High School would be to schedule meetings with stakeholders to grow my understanding of the structural pieces in place, as well as develop professional rapport with all stakeholders.
